Red Reishi
Red Reishi (Ganoderma sichuanense) is a polypore fungus with a corky texture and bitter flavour. Many Ganoderma species are regarded as potent folk-medicinal mushrooms, traditionally brewed into a tea and/or steeped in alcohol to extract compounds believed to promote health and longevity. Modern science is establishing potent medicinal applications for such extracts. In particular, the most recognized Red Reishi, known as lingzhi in Traditional Chinese Medicine, is considered the 'Mushroom of Longevity', with sleep-quality-improving, immuno-stimulating, stress-reducing and cancer-fighting compounds. Fresh Reishi is easier and quicker to use than when dried.

Ganoderma sichuanense, aka Red Reishi: steep for 1 month in alcohol, agitating daily, then separate and simmer for 2 hours in water to create a 'dual extract tincture', or simply make a tea. Folk-medicinal.
